About
QML is a user interface markup language that is declarative in nature. Unfortunately, it is also intermixed with imperative programming. Most important of all, and the most painful of all, documentation about QML is scarce.
Writing declaratively is difficult (as opposed to what most believe). The problem is further compounded by the fact that most developers come from an imperative background and writes imperatively thinking it is declarative.
Fate has somehow decided that I cross path with QML. Seizing this opportunity, allow me to bleat about my neuralgia with QML, Javascript, Qt and C++.
QML being declarative does not mean it is easier or faster to write. It only means it is different.
C++ does not mean it is faster than Javascript.
